Coach Steve
I have been "Coach Dad" for years but now, I've officially made the switch to try and help grow the game of baseball in my community. I have been lucky enough to have coached for a number of years with repeated success. While I enjoy working with the highest tier of talent I can, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a young kid with a passion for the game, connect the dots and make those strides of improvement.
The "ah-ha!" moment is why I do what I do.
What I do
Here at Downriver Baseball, I've been lucky enough to branch out from coaching a single team and can now offer a wide range of coaching services to better help your individual athlete reach their goals!
I have over 28 Years of experience playing and now coaching baseball, it is truly my passion to pass down all the tribal knowledge and experience I have been lucky enough to obtain over the years to the next generation of ball player in hopes to grow this beautiful game the right way. Everything we do at DRB, we do with purpose, with intent, and with an understanding of WHY. Whether it be pitching, fielding, catching, or hitting, I have the mechanical know-how and communication tools needed to help grow your young ballplayer to their full potential. Remember it’s not about being the best, it’s about being YOUR best and giving yourself the best opportunity for success.

10-20 participants of similar age and skill levels coming together for a 4-hour Camp style skill-based baseball retreat. This is a great way to ensure your player keeps their love and enthusiasm for the game alive and well.
